Analysis and first tests of EasyInk cartridges for AS-450/AS-650/AS-850
Quadient has been distributing the latest generation of address printers from Rena since this year. The address printers of the AS-450/AS-650 and AS-850 series use the specially developed cartridges of the EasyInk range. The cartridges are identical in construction to the well-known HP originals such as the C8842A / Versatile and the C6195A / Fast Dry Black. However, the cartridge's internal hardware chip is reprogrammed so that users of the latest devices can only use the EasyInk (eg. A0127051)cartridges.
We have analysed the cartridges and are able to code / burn backups of the hardware chip as well. We will carry out tests with customers in the short term and hope to be able to offer an alternative soon.
